Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE) contains many technologies which may be difficult to use. These technologies include Java Server Pages, Java Servlets, Enterprise JavaBeans, Java Mail API, and many others.
This tutorial will provide an in depth review of the design decisions involved in building portable and scalable multi-tier application using J2EE technologies. Using the Java Pet Store application as a guide, we will provide an in depth review of the roles of each J2EE technology and the tradeoffs involved with using each technology.
