Ian Robinson, RESTful enterprise development specialist
Ian Robinson is a Principal Consultant with ThoughtWorks, where he specializes in the design and
delivery of service-oriented and distributed systems.
He has written guidance for Microsoft on implementing integration patterns with
Microsoft technologies,and has published articles on business-oriented
development methodologies and distributed systems design - most
recently in The ThoughtWorks Anthology (Pragmatic Programmers, 2008).
He is currently co-authoring a book on Web-friendly enterprise
integration.

Abstract: Do you know what your enterprise applications get up to in their time off? Fighting fantasy, pick-your-path, hypermedia-driven, RESTful Web application adventures. Of course.
Hypermedia applications make good on the SOA vision of a distributed system based on evolutionary, easily composed application protocols. In this entertaining dungeon delve we'll tackle the many-headed Hydra of HATEOAS, the "Hypermedia as the Engine of Application State" monster, level up through Leonard Richardson's Web Services Maturity Heuristic, and meet the dwarves with grudges.
