Presentation: "End User Programming"
Track:
End User Experience 1
Time: Monday 10:30 - 11:20 Location: Lille Sal
Abstract:
The spread of computers into every aspect of our life and work doesn't appear to be slowing down. In developed nations, almost everyone deals with multiple computers each day. Additionally, more and more programs are themselves programmable and extensible. However, very few people can take advantage of that, because they don't know how to program. There are some systems, however, that successfully coach their users through basic programming tasks. This talk will look at those systems, along with current research in the field, and discuss ways that computers can be more powerful tools for all their users. |
