Michael "Koz" Koziarski is a software consultant who specialises in
Ruby on Rails, database architecture, web businesses and object
oriented design. He's been a contributor to Rails since 2004 and a
Rails core team member since 2005. Koz has created and maintains
several open source projects.

Abstract: Rails Core team member Michael Koziarski will provide an introduction
to the changes introduced in the 2.0 release of Ruby on Rails. The
2.0 release added several new features, removed deprecated code and
improved performance of some common slow areas. This talk will cover
common pitfalls when upgrading your application, how to get the most
out of the performance improvements, and the time-saving enhancements
you can use in your application.

rails, but the advice is often contradictory. Rails Core team member
Michael Koziarski will provide a session on best practise for rails
applications. Working through examples we'll cover several
anti-patterns, show alternative designs and explain how you would
choose between them.
