Presentation: "Rails on AWS"
Track:
Ruby Performance
Time: Tuesday 16:00 - 17:00 Location: Lokale 4A14, 4. floor
Abstract:
Scaling a Rails application from one machine to a couple of dozens or hundreds can be a hard problem for many projects. On tight budget and available manpower this becomes even harder. Luckily Amazon offers several Web Services (AWS) that allow you to focus on the business while Amazon worries about the scaling. This talk will give an overview of how to utilize Amazon?s Web Services like EC2, S3, and SQS to create a scalable architecture. We will look at several use cases (like user generated content or on-demand application servers) where the Amazon Web Services are leveraged to scale a Rails application. |
