 Java Rich Client Development

Host: Kai Tödter, Siemens

Programming the client-side of a Java-based applications continues to be a challenge in many context, but this area has also been the subject of several current development efforts. Building reactive, live applications that perform well and are able to be driven off server-side applications and management systems has for a long time been restricted to using flash in the client; but now is a big thing with hot topics such as rich client platforms for Java, as well as frameworks for building AJAX clients in Java using technologies such as JSF.

In this track, we will cover a range of these technologies, and hopefully find some time for interesting discussions on pro and cons for these various techniques.
