Presentation: "Pushing the Limits"

Track:   Patterns - Past, Present, and Future

Time: Monday 14:30 - 15:30

Location: SAS Suecia

Abstract: Patterns are a conference track topic now for over a decade, and they are still attractive. Their obvious success has increased the number of pattern adepts. However, the pattern movement has lost much of its momentum, pattern book sales drop and publications go out of print. Today patterns are beyond hype, and it is time to have a look at what expectations they fulfilled and where they failed. This talk explores the limitations of patterns as we know them, and takes a look beyond.
