 Nicolas  Brasseur

Nicolas is co-founder and managing director of JavaBlackBelt (formerly the Loop Factory), a Java focused education company. He teaches and coaches Java development teams. He not only teaches standard courses such as J2SE, Servlets/JSPs, JSFs, Hibernate, ... he also devises specialized, custom courses and coaching.

Nicolas co-founded JavaBlackBelt.com, a community web site dedicated to providing technical exams and study quizzes about Java related technologies.

This presentation shows 7 diagrams explained using 5 minute animations, that cover the major topics of Hibernate: * Types - Mapping Simple Types * Types - User Types * Relationships - Entity Relationships * Relationships - Fetching strategies * Concurrency - Optimistic locking * Concurrency - Pessimistic Locking * Caching - 2nd Level Caching The speakers, authors of these animations, will explain and comment about them. Participants receive printed versions of the diagram presented. The points of this presentation are to: - show a new way of teaching/learning - explain Hibernate 3, and O/R Mapping concepts.
