Presentation: "Is SOA taking over the IT-world?"Time: To be announced Location: To be announced
Abstract:
Has SOA invaded the heart and mind of IT-prefessionals? Everyone talks about SOA and Governance and WS-this and WS-that, but what is behind this? Why is SOA so popular and how can we take advantage without loosing the good things in OO, Java and J2EE? I'll try to discuss this from the point of view of a major software vendor with a huge investment in J2EE and a clear strategy of SOA support. What is BEA's logic behind WebLogic and AquaLogic? Where are we going? Talk will be semi-technical, with just a hint of code here and there. |
