Tapio Tallgren, Nokia Networks
Tapio Tallgren has worked at Nokia Research Center since 1995 as a
senior research engineer and research manager. He was intimately
involved with Python for Series 60 especially in its early stages.
Currently, he works at Nokia Networks as a technology manager in the
area of open source software.

Abstract: Python for Series 60 brings the power of agile programming to Series 60 smartphones. By exposing numerous native application programming interfaces (API's) through a dynamic language, Python for Series 60 enables rapid and iterative development, while significantly reducing the learning curve for authoring mobile applications. This talk will cover the capabilities of Python for Series 60, the challenges of porting the language to an embedded device, and provide a glimpse into future features coming to the tools.
