Social Events
- Monday Night - Social Party
Join the popular social dinner for nice food, rock-music and great people! The party is held in Ridehuset
close to Scandinavian Center, follow the guides to Ridehuset. The party starts with a welcome
drink at 19:30 and is free for conference participants.
- Tuesday late afternoon - Bowerman JAOO IT-Run
Bring your runningshoes and get some exercise at this run specially organized for screen-working
people. If you didn't sign up please send a mail to jaoo@jaoo.dk
with your name and T-Shirt size.
Pick up your Dri-fit running T-shirt, which also is your runningnumber, in the conference
information booth after Monday at 13:00. The run is free for JAOO conference participants.
The IT-Run starts from Ridehuset close to the Scandinavian Center at 18:00. Afterwards go to the
City Hall for a nice buffet.
- Tuesday evening - Buffet at the City Hall
The City of Aarhus is hosting a buffet in the City Hall Tuesday evening, after the IT-Run,
starting at 19:00.
It is very important that you wear your badge since this is your admintage to the buffet. The
City Hall is an impressive building and they serve nice food! The buffet is free for JAOO
conference participants.
- Wednesday evening - The Old Town and dinner at Globen Flakket
We start out with a guided tour round the Old Town, which is a unique museum situated in the
center of Aarhus. In the Old Town you can experience what it was like to live and work in a
Danish Market town in the old days. For further info check out:

After the tour we stroll through the center of Aarhus to the restaurant Globenflakket, where
dinner will be served. The restaurant is located at the riverside in Aarhus, in a neighborhood
with cafes and bars. Globen Flakket serves a special 3 dishes-menu.
Price: DKK 400.-/EUR 55.-
Included in the price is: entré and tour of the Old Town and dinner at GlobenFlakket.
The tour starts at 17:30 from the information booth at the conference area.

- Thursday evening - Guided Tour and buffet at the Steno Museum
The Steno Museum is the Danish Museum for the History of Science and Medicine, and is located
in the University Campus. We will be given an introduction to the museum's exhibitions covering
the period from the Stone Age to Modern Times. A buffet is served after the tour, and you can
enjoy the dinner at café tables or take a stroll in the museum's medicinal herb garden. We will
end this evening with a multimedia show in the museum's own planetarium. For further info check
