Abstract

The Swing toolkit is a part of the Java 2 Standard Edition which makes it simple to create attractive GUIs which are consistent cross-platform. It also has a flexible design which gives developers control over parts of the GUI which were previously off-limits. In this session Georges will discuss several advanced uses of the Swing APIs, as well as present information on some experimental work which the Swing team has been doing on archiving GUIs.
