Presentation: "Living Architectures - From Eclipse to Jazz"

Track: HOT SPEAKERS FROM BIG COMPANIES / Time: Tuesday 10:15 - 11:15 / Location: Lille Sal, Musikhuset

This presentation describes our architectural evolution from Eclipse to Jazz. Eclipse provides a plug-in architecture that enables seamless integration of desktop tools. Jazz is an integration architecture that supports the integration of new but also of existing software lifecycle tools implemented in various technologies. Both efforts share the goal to enable rich integration with loose coupling. The Jazz integration architecture is based on a RESTful architecture enabling integration at different levels. Our integration approach leverages open initiatives like Open Social and Open Services for Life Cycle Collaboration.
